Building a secure and fault tolerant corporate network - Evertech

The EVERTECH company was tasked with building a secure and fault-tolerant network at a Ukrainian enterprise, one of the market leaders in the production of packaging for food and cosmetic products.
The territory of the enterprise includes production facilities, storage facilities and an administrative building.
To fulfill the customer’s task, the specialists of EVERTECH with the support of the CISCO representative office selected high-performance and well-proven equipment of the CISCO corporation – the world leader in networking technologies.
The network core is built on the basis of a high-performance stack of Cisco Catalyst WS-C3850 switches, which performs the functions of routing traffic between workgroups and controlling access to network resources.
Cisco Catalyst WS-C2960X-48TS-L and WS-C2960X-48FPS-L access switches are aggregated into groups and connected to the core of the network via fiber optic links.
In the production area, in conditions of changeable temperature, the uninterrupted operation of the Wi-Fi network is provided by the Cisco AIR-AP1562E-E-K9 access point, which is ideal for providing Wi-Fi coverage in harsh climatic conditions and outdoors.
Most of the company’s employees are mobile and, with the help of the new solution, have gained uninterrupted access to the corporate network thanks to the Wi-Fi controllers Cisco AIR-CT3504-K9, which provide the scalability and reliability needed to build secure wireless networks across the enterprise.
Mobile clients within the administrative building are connected using Cisco AIR-AP1852I-E-K9 access points.
For accounting products, warehouse workers use Wi-Fi barcode scanners — to connect these mobile customers in the warehouses to the corporate network, we installed Cisco AIR-AP1852E-E-K9 access points with Cisco AIR-ANT2566P4W-R directional antennas, which ensure reliable connection of scanners to Wi-Fi network when moving around the warehouse between the racks.
Security of work in the corporate network of remote employees and reflection of possible threats from the outside provides the Cisco ASA firewall.
The complex use of CISCO equipment and close cooperation with the CISCO representative office allowed us to fully fulfill the tasks set for our company in terms of the performance and reliability of the new corporate network, and also to provide a competitive price of the solution.
