I., a pilot project “IMPROVEMENT OF COMMUNICATION PROCESSES IN THE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF ACTIVITY OF INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION”, in which the first successful testing of equipment was carried out.
The main objective of the project is to re-engineer the management system of the Poltava State Agrarian Academy based on the implementation of the IP-telephony system, the improvement of communication processes and the study of the possibilities of IP-telephony in the educational process.
At the stage of the technical training of the project, a number of activities were undertaken to upgrade the existing computer network of the training building No. 2.
In the process of implementation of technical events, with the active cooperation with the chief engineer of the Poltava branch of LLC TELESVIT (Volia Telecommunication Services Provider), Yatsenko Valery Vasilievich achieved a steady rate of connection to the provider’s network and adjustment of the input equipment.
Within the framework of the project, it was planned to deploy a radio access zone for users to the established network using Wi-Fi technology. After long negotiations Director of LLC “EVERTECH” (Kharkov) Onyshchenko Serhii Anatoliyovych decided to provide equipment with the appropriate characteristics for the trial testing.
On February 15 at the Department of Information Systems and Technologies with the help of the “landed” specialists of LLC “EVERTECH”, consisting of Alexander Mykolaevych Mureyko (architect of the Infrastructure Solutions Division), Zayarny Dmitro Mykolaevych (Business Development Specialist of the Commercial Department) and Onyschenko Denys Serhiiyovych (Chief Information Officer, Director of Information Technologies), as well as students of the specialty “Information Systems and Technologies” and the teaching and support staff of the department and ISAT successfully set up the provided equipment and tested two separate computer networks within the educational building No. 2.
As a result of complex organizational and technical work, the Wi-Fi zone access to computer network was further deployed on 7 additional points with a maximum bandwidth of 300 Mbps with coverage in each of the auditoriums and the territory adjacent to the educational building.
Within the framework of this pilot project, access to the network for students and academics is free.
The next step in the project is to create a database of IP-telephony users on the 3CX platform and explore its capabilities for improving communication processes in the faculty management system.
